Ethiopian weddings are fun and rich in culture, and this particular one was no different. Our couple wanted the best of the best and they got just that. During our consultation call with our bride, Saba, she mentioned wanting the day to go smoothly and everyone knowing what to do. Her priority was just a fun day and lots of pictures. We started by selecting one of the best venues in downtown Chicago, right in the middle of the city, The interContinental Hotel, Chicago. Their banquet hall options provided the right canvas to paint Saba and Yizez’s beautiful wedding. We chose the best florist, Lavender Fields Flowers, to create a rich, sophisticated,dreamy decor for both the ceremony and the reception. Our photo and video team was nothing short of amazing. For her looks, she wanted Hollywood waves for the ceremony and an updo for the reception, both of which were matched with different dresses. The bridal party also changed their outfits twice. We ensured that we had a robust timeline for the entire team, so every minute was accounted for. We managed the flip of the banquet hall after the ceremony and their transition to be transported to photo locations. Our couple rode in a vintage car of course! Having a wedding in downtown Chicago can be lots of fun as your guests get to explore and experience the city, and in our case, it was exactly what was needed. Most of her guests came from out of town, so it was a beautiful scene for them.
Weddings at the InterContinental are stunning, and the staff there is supportive and friendly. We had an amazing time working with them. They met their needs and made everyone comfortable. The food was delicious.
